My client had been looking for a long time to find the perfect home. This home offered everything even a full basement with direct access to the yard. In order to transform the basement into a perfect and private apartment, we needed to make some huge changes. And that is where we come in.

Several things needed to be changed to make this a private apartment.
Fix the view from the kitchen, as you would look directly into this bedroom. The stairs would also lead right into the room, no privacy there. The bathroom needs to be updated and upgraded, also this bathroom doubles as a laundry room. Plus the entire house there is no powder room for guests.

A project right up my alley, time to Crack the Code of this Impossible Space by discovering the space, finding the hidden potential, and exploring all the opportunities.

FIRST DESIGN ROUND
Whatever I designed it needed to have a separate powder room.
Both designs are slightly different, more in the spaces for the home gym and laundry room.
