The crux for this design is to change the entire mid section of the house!
1. By moving the coat closets over: we create room for a double door pantry + 1 storage cabinet
2. By moving the fridge in the “old” pantry we created space on the perimeter.
3. By reconfiguring the powder room and making it a little smaller we created space to recess the china cabinet in the dining room
PROJECT
I am very excited to start working on this kitchen and home remodel! The homeowners have been wanting a new kitchen for a long time and when the last appliances started to fail, they knew it was time to hire a designer.
The goal is to design a dream kitchen with a good flow that fits the space perfectly: a kitchen with new and upgraded appliances that’s a wonderful place to entertain. We will also change the layout of the kitchen to increase countertop space to enable a better work area!
We will remove and add walls to enhance the atmosphere and functionality of this kitchen as well. Since we can only do so much with the current footprint, we’ll redesign the entire mid-section of the house to create more space for a pantry, storage, and even a new coat closet! And by redesigning the guest bathroom there are plenty of options opening up for this project to play around with.
