Margo’s Sweet Shop
This was my first brick-and-mortar shop ever! I was over the moon when asked to design a candy store. This candy store is in a prime location in Redmond Town Center. It has jars full of all kinds of delicious sweets, from holiday-themed candy to the classics and everyday favorites!
When designing a store or retail location you must keep many things in mind. Where do people walk? How many customers will walk there? Can they get an overview of the entire store right away? Are the items easy to reach? Is there enough room to scoop the candy? Those are just some of the considerations!
This store has plenty of space to walk around and has a wonderful balance with round tables to improve the flow. Customers will be greeted by a delicious display with lots of little jars of candy. And next to that we have the best thing ever: edible cookie dough, which is quite the trend in New York!
The store has several display cases and two tables for all of the candies, seasonal products, and caramel apples. We even created a bar for Italian sodas so there is a place for people to sit down and enjoy a drink and treat.
We decided to go with an interior design of mainly white furniture pieces with vibrant pops of color: light blue, pinks, and yellows. We consistently used this color scheme throughout!
Working with this passionate business owner and seeing my (design) baby come to life is so rewarding! I am overjoyed that I was able to show my signature design style with this incredible store.
