Providencia Pond Retreat

Providencia Pond Retreat is a scenic place that brings women together to support each other’s dreams, so NIBIO is honored to be a part of the adventure of designing a beautiful space with an inspiring energy for guests to enjoy. This women’s retreat destination is tucked away in rural Issaquah, WA, so we wanted the interior to complement the calming and beautiful natural surroundings.

This beautiful, peaceful place has several different levels, including a fully operational kitchen, dance studio, and outdoor spaces that lend themselves to an infinite variety of workshops, gatherings, celebrations, events, and sabbaticals.

The design goal was to utilize the entire space with several different sitting areas and nooks for cozy gatherings. We decided that using modular and light furniture would create endless options to rearrange the space on any occasion! Upstairs we created three themed bedrooms, a bathroom, and a gathering area for small group conversations or individual assignments.

Mitzi dreamt of creating the “Love Wall” – a wall that represents love for yourself, love for others, and love for people who have passed on. I fulfilled that dream by painting that wall in a gorgeous red color called “AF-290 Caliente!” Now Providencia has an atmosphere as beautiful as the purpose it was created for!
