Spectacular Kitchen with Ingenious use of Hidden Spaces

My company is known for cracking the code of an impossible space.
And that is exactly what we did with for this Kitchen.
I did some ingenious work here!

My clients fell in love with this home: in the perfect location, kids can still play outside, house is on a quit street and room enough for their family with 3 young kids. But the décor and lay-out was dark and dreary and not from this century. The kitchen with its lay-out and lack of storage was not working for them.

They knew they wanted to remodel their entire house right away. Next item on to-do list: find the right designer, who would help and support them on their journey, a designer with a creative mind and would show them more than 2 options. Even a designer that would take risks in the design.
When they saw my portfolio, they fell in love with my style and design process.

When I looked at this kitchen, I could only ask why/ Why did someone design it like this? It makes no sense. Why do we have an entire empty zig-zag wall in the kitchen and why is the powder room so huge?

That is where I come in as a designer whose mission it is to crack the code of impossible space.

I did some ingenious work here:

1. I opened the wall underneath the stairs and added full base cabinets here + 1 side of waterfall and also a “soap niche” with cute shelves. Result: more storage

2. The diagonal wall had more than enough clearance, so we built up a huge pantry cabinet, with plenty of storage. Result: more storage

3. The third treasure was the large powder room which I divided in half: to recess the fridge. Result: 48” range with oversized hood and more upper cabinets.

Three seemingly “easy” treasures, that impacted the entire kitchen usability, storage capability and a much better flow and balance.

This kitchen is truly transformed into gorgeous and functional kitchen, with an island and with room enough to cook, have the kids do homework, prep meals and entertain.

Moving windows, moving walls and adding walls in other places.
Making this Kitchen more functional, luxurious and balanced, flowing together and aesthetically more pleasing by addressing the spaces as a whole to fit their lifestyle.
