Slate blue skirted tub Bathroom
These businessowners had seen my work and were wondering if I could perform my magic on their Airbnb.
The goal for these homeowners was to redesign the kid’s bathroom. After their bathtub/shower combination started leaking and the dogs got to the walls, they knew it was time for a remodel. Up until now the bathroom had worked just fine. They even lived with the weird alcove that never quite blossomed as storage and linen closet.
At first they had hoped to fix certain spots, but they quickly saw this as a clean slate and finally saw their long awaited dream come true for a clawfoot tub.
Fitting in a clawfoot tub meant getting help from a designer, a designer who would understand their vision, saw the potential of the space and actually knew the process of making their dream come true.
During the design process we quickly found hidden space: we would eliminate the hardly used hallway linen closet to benefit the bathroom.
We designed the entire bathroom around the Slate Blue bathtub. They appreciate tiles with textures and something special other than a plain porcelain tile.
We found this gorgeous blue glass tile almost fabric like, for an accent wall in the shower and will use the same tile for the soap niche. We wanted this blue intricate tile to pop and therefore we choose matte white marble tiles for the surround for the bathroom walls and we finished it with this natural wood looking tile plank.
This Slate blue skirted tub Bathroom is a showstopper with the blue bathtub as the focal point. This bathroom is gorgeous in materials, nature inspired colors with pops of blue, everything matches and ties in with another part of the bathroom. A delightful and spa like environment a true pleasure to take a long bath.
